What is an Organisation?

In Lalabase, an organisation is a fully self-contained space: its own members, its own roles, its own search, its own data. None of it is visible or shared across organisations. Think of two organisations as two completely separate companies — what happens in one stays there.

One account, multiple organisations

The same user account can be a member of several organisations — each with a different role. In one you might be an administrator, in another a member with read-only access. You switch between your organisations without signing in again.

To do so, click your organisation's name at the top of the sidebar: a menu lists your organisations — one click switches straight over, and the current one carries a check mark. All organisations additionally opens the cockpit across all of them.

Invitations and accounts

If you invite an email address that already has a Lalabase account, that person is simply added to your organisation with their existing account — they accept the invitation with the credentials they already use. If the address has no account yet, a new, separate account is created for it.

Invite the right address

Invite exactly the email address the person wants tied to their Lalabase identity. The wrong address creates a second, disconnected account — and accounts cannot be merged later.

People who sign up themselves rather than being invited confirm their email address first — see Confirming your email address.

Renaming your organisation

Under Settings → Name/Domain you change your organisation's display name. The name appears throughout the app and in invitations. It must be unique across the whole system: if another organisation already uses the same name, the change is rejected — pick a more distinctive spelling in that case. Only account administrators can change the name.

A domain field isn't available here yet; custom access domains are on hold.
