# Switching appearance (light/dark/pop)

Lalabase comes in three looks. You decide which one suits you best — the switch
takes effect instantly, with no page reload.

## Switching mode

1. In the lower part of the sidebar, open the small switcher on the right
   (tooltip **View**). It shows the icon of the currently active mode.
2. In the menu that opens, choose **Light**, **Dark** or **Pop**.
3. The appearance changes at once; a check mark shows the active mode.

## The three modes

- **Light** — a light background, calm and low in contrast.
- **Dark** — a dark background, easy on the eyes in low light.
- **Pop** — the bold, colourful variant, and also the default.
