# Installation

There is no prebuilt release yet, so you build the program yourself from `main`.

## What you need

- macOS or Linux
- [Go 1.27](https://go.dev/dl/) or newer
- a Lalabase server, hosted or self-hosted
- a UTF-8 locale and a terminal of at least 24 columns and 8 rows
- to start agents, [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) on your `PATH`

## Build

```sh
git clone https://github.com/lalabase/lalabase-cli
cd lalabase-cli
go build ./cmd/lalabase
mv lalabase /usr/local/bin/    # or any folder on your PATH
```
